Dr. Sammons has been serving women and families in the Lake Saint Louis area since 2010. An active member of the medical staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital since 2014, she served as chair of the OB/GYN department until 2017. Dr. Sammons currently serves as the chief-elect of the St. Joseph’s medical staff, after having served as secretary/treasurer from 2017-2018.

Caring for women, helping them achieve their goals as mothers and as potent members of the workforce, is a critical part of Emily Sammons’ role in the community. She enjoys the continuity of the OB/GYN profession for the ability to be present at all stages of a woman’s life. While she admits that parts of those stages are “less than glamorous,” the relationships and memories they cultivate between her and her patients are “irreplaceable.”

Proud to be a part of the Lake St. Louis community, Dr. Sammons lives with her husband, son, and daughter. She enjoys hiking in the county parks, knitting, playing the piano, and spending time with their family dog Luna, a “live-find dog” for the local search and rescue team.
